Pros
Work from home. There are a few intelligent people who know how to manage a business, but it is a small minority.
Cons
When interviewing I wish I had been told that there are no raises. None. They do not give raises here and have not for a long time. Whatever your salary is when you get hired, that is it. This company makes no secret that the only goal is to increase shareholder value. This is done by acquiring small profitable companies, while letting it's core businesses languish. As employees become unhappy they leave, thus reducing the costs. Employees have little to no value to the company. CSC has extremely high turnover, and this is by design. It is cheaper to higher low level employees and simply replace them rather than create career paths and nurture career growth. There is no training/career development budgets. There is an antiquated internal education portal that is very outdated, and that is the only training you will get access to. If you are interviewing, be sure to ask why the last person left and ask how often you can expect a raise. If you are not happy with the answer do not take the job, and do not accept a response of "it's getting better", it's not.
