Pros

You get a small raise of a few cents twice a year They often like to hire internally when looking for management or quality positions, so there’s a small chance of upward mobility. High levels of favoritism.

Cons

Employees and management are constantly getting purged Are always short staffed and told that the problem will be fixed but it won’t be for years Employees job responsibilities are expanded dramatically with no pay raise. I went from just taking new donors to having to do the finger stick and handling blood. Went from processing maybe 10-20 people a day to 100. Not worth the $18/hour, and that was after working there for several years. I believe you start around $16. A lot of drama amongst staff. Staff were screaming at management during work meeting and weren’t fired.

Pros

- They offer snacks to employees on shift - 2 sets of free scrubs with part-time employment.

Cons

- Belittlement of new hires. - Rotating work shift weeks; all opening shifts one week (6:30am start time) and the next is all closing shifts (almost leaving at 9pm). There is no room for work/life balance with a schedule like that. - Working every other weekend is mandatory. - Employees are allowed to have any length of nails, as a phlebotomist that is a work safety hazard. - Upper management plays favorites among their the staff and it is very apparent. - Phlebotomists & DST's yelling and cussing in front of donors on the donor floor. - Witnessed employees smoking weed on their lunch break in their car. - Apparently there were 3 donor deaths in the recent year, but management wouldn't give us new hires details on what exactly happened. - No phones are allowed on the donor floor, but some of the favorite employees got away with making Tiktoks while on shift. - Was trained by a Phlebotomist that consistently told me she hated her job and was wanting to quit. - They don't treat the donors like people at this location, they're just another number to them. - Trash bins were over flowing and there were blood stains everywhere on the donor floor. - They required employees to park behind the building with overflow cars in fire lanes because there was not enough parking for all the staff on shift. - As a new hire, was told to leave my belongings in my car because there were no more employee lockers.
