Pros

The phlebotomy position is a good part time job for a nursing student or to keep skills fresh. Unfortunately, it’s hard to live off of. This company is a good starting point for real world skill practice and to move up the ladder.

Cons

The pay is lower as a phleb and of course, drama.

Pros

Easy Job, decent pay, not a lot of responsibility necessary, no training required

Cons

Hostile environment, unorganized and chaotic, extremely high staff turnover, rampant bullying and HR refuses to assist and is implicit in the bullying. Center management and leadership staff have no idea what they are doing. It's the blind leading the blind. They insist that they are following strict protocols, but what these protocols are seems to change depending on who you are talking to. Written SOPs are blatantly ignored.

Pros

Interactions with regular donors. Got to clock out and go home at the end of a very long shift.

Cons

Short staffed, taking 3 and a half months to get a new certified phlebotomist to start sticking, terrible management who watches the floor drown from behind a mirrored glass office and then gets mad about wait times. Lucky to even get a 30 minute lunch break. They close at 7 and often times not being able to leave until 10. Poor pay. There's a long list of cons and not really any pros.
