      Great place to learn Bulk and Fill Finish manufacturing

      Pros

      There was a lot to learn about the new cell-based flu production and technology both from a bulk and fill-finish perspective. Very supportive management that wants employees to grow and develop your own career. Benefits were great, vacation time was never rejected, and we had good team building experiences.

      Cons

      Work-life balance can be a problem with such a demanding schedule during peak flu production. Quality labs could use more continuous improvement and better direct capture data systems.

      Typical Pharma struggling to move away from old ways

      Decent Pay Good location Free car park Plenty of opportunities if you are open to change and prepared to go through tough times

      Cons

      Very political environment where many people (not all) whom have been working here for too many years are unwilling to accept the upcoming changes and rejecting the newer staff solely because they are feeling threatened. This is particularly true for Management level. Anyone with experience in Pharma has seen that a lot of the times Managers reach this level based on number of years of service as opposed to skill or achievement. Also, a lot of favouritism, clear attempts to keep "old friends" close so they can try and protect each other and badmounth those whom don't play their game.
