Pros

I absolutely loved working as a teachers assistant in the kindergarten classroom at CSTA. Not only did working at CSTA help me grow as an aspiring clinician, it was heart warming to be able to watch the kids in my classroom grow everyday. I also had the pleasure of working under BCBA Justine B. and she was a great mentor.

Cons

I wish I had more time to spend with the kids before leaving.

Pros

The staff at Chicago Speech Therapy are eager and ready to share as much of their knowledge as possible! They do an excellent job explaining each step of the therapy process as well as ensuring you become more comfortable taking the lead and leading small groups of children within the class! The relationships you build with the clients and the therapist is one of a kind!

Cons

With the one year of working there I was very sad leaving so soon.

This was an awesome opportunity as an aspiring Occupational Therapist! Everyone is so helpful and willing to teach you and guide you through your time at CSTA. Would definitely recommend to any future OT's or SLP's! You'll even get the chance to do ABA therapy which will be so helpful in your future career.

Cons

Great place to work that gives you a step up for grad school, but you will definitely get paid intern money so just plan accordingly!
