- great multi-disciplinary collaboration with OTs, PTs, BCBAs, teachers and ABA therapists - loved my clients and how my caseload included clients with a variety of different ages (1-13) and disorders (arctic, feeding, stuttering, ASD, language etc.) - loved our quarterly training days where they brought in guest speakers and created opportunities to complete CEUs - very receptive to new best practice therapies - had a lot of great resources and materials they shared with us

Cons

- limited PTO (although we do get a week off for Christmas!!) - rigorous CF year - sometimes a lot of back-to-back sessions - felt that I needed more work life balance

Inconsistent hours and underpaid. If you are easily over stimulated it can be difficult.

I absolutely loved working as a teachers assistant in the kindergarten classroom at CSTA. Not only did working at CSTA help me grow as an aspiring clinician, it was heart warming to be able to watch the kids in my classroom grow everyday. I also had the pleasure of working under BCBA Justine B. and she was a great mentor.

Cons

I wish I had more time to spend with the kids before leaving.
