Terrible company to work for - they only care about the bottom line

Can't say that I have any - once I was hired as a full time employee my entire viewpoint of the company changed, and not for the better.

Cons

CSX has been in turmoil for the past several years. Employees are constantly worried about being on the chopping block. The only reason people stick around is to get railroad retirement. They feel stuck because that is hanging over their heads. Best advice I can give to anyone there is to look elsewhere before you're removed permanently. They keep saying they're "trimming the fat," but to be frank, the company is basically anorexic now. Customers aren't happy, employees are miserable, but shareholders are pleased that their wallets feel fatter!

- Very talented team of experts. - Pay and benefits are high. - Access to training and resources to expand your career. - Leading edge technology.

Cons

- Recent changes in executive leadership have led to some fear, but we are coming out of that in a much stronger position both in terms of employee quality and economic success. - Large organization which sometimes leads to bureaucracy and slow speeds to get things approved in terms of projects and timelines. - Less focus on long-term success and more focus on short term gains. - Very capital focused which sometimes leads to decisions being made that aren't the best for the business.
