      There needs to be a change in middle-management!

      Pros

      There are really great people to work with in the outdoor industry.

      Cons

      There are managers that have no business being in a leadership role. Unprofessionalism and bullying of employees is common. And promotions are not always based on the hard work and dedication of the employee. It is not uncommon to witness employees spend their days gossiping, surfing the internet and ignoring phone calls and emails. And then be promoted!

      Pros

      Co-workers are great! Everyone is willing to assist and share whenever possible. Very friendly and family atmosphere, much more so than other places I have been.

      Cons

      Management does not acknowledge that employees cannot be forced to prevent all mistakes by threating dismissal if an error is made by a customer! The working environment continues to deteriorate as employees become more and more nervous about their jobs.

      Fellow Co-Workers, and friendly like minded customers.

      Cons

      Everything Else. You are just a number, you do not matter. No such thing as a Work/Homelife Balance - Especially in the salaried management positions. Pay is not up to par with industry standard, Majority of the GM's I worked under would bury you to save themselves. Very negative environment to work in - High Stress/Low Pay....stay away.
