Mix of good experience with bad with Cabot

Schedule flexibility, remote work days, good compensation and benefits, great team and environment, events.

Cons

Favoritism is the name of the game, and if you don’t play along you’re stuck unable to grow your career. Departments do not work well together. Positions are being outsourced for cheaper labor abroad, and they will make you train your replacement. I was called the day my maternity leave began to be notified (rather coldly) that my position was being eliminated, and I was being laid off upon my return. No empathy to the situation I was being put in just hours before heading to the hospital. This completely ruined the experience I’d had with Cabot.

Free coffee (you gonna need it to get through the long hours and mind-numbing conference calls....).

Cons

Executives lacking basic emotional intelligence, survival mentality among employees due to company outsourcing jobs in recent years (newcomers beware!), powerpoint engineering, bad chemistries between teams/departments
