Pros
I have been working for Cadence Education and Next Generation Children’s Centers for almost 11 years. I have worked my way up from teacher to Program Manager and have taken on other leadership roles in my time here. My children who are now 14 and 11 spent all of their early childhood education at my school and were beyond ready to move to public school. I have had the privilege of being part of the hiring process for my children’s teachers and have also been able to support my relationships with the parents in my classroom with my experience as a parent within the school. I love the freedom I have as a teacher to plan the curriculum to my children’s interests while also providing a variety of experiences within our homelike setting. I appreciate how as we have grown and changed that our school has adapted and adjusted while also being able to do the same within my classroom. We still hang on to basic core values of lerning, interaction and social skill while incorporating the outside world as we know it. I love what I do and this is the best place to do it!!!
Cons
Unfortunately, while all child care companies can say that they are better, this field in a center based location will always face challenges and no matter where you go, the challenges will be the same because of the nature of our work. The grass is never greener!!!
