They have great benefits if you can get enough units to teach each quarter and it's a pretty laid back atmosphere for lecturers, not as much so recently bc of cuts

Cons

Bc of the economy in CA, they have been cutting classes, which not only affects my salary, but also I see the impact on students trying to finish their education in less then 5 years.

Great work life balance, free education, great benefits. Good people. Working there can be satisfying. Work with students can be challenging, but rewarding. Managers tend to be understanding of work life balance.

Cons

Very Political, No real track to move up, have to find your own way. Hard to move around. very big bureaucracy.
