Lots of people are leaving, and it's not hard to see why

Pros

• Nice office, generally nice people that are saddled with the same problems as you • "Free" lunch on Wednesdays (perks like this are a bit of a double-edged sword, as some would rather make more in their salary than receive benefits like this as they have to be paid for somehow) • generous PTO package • good benefits package overall

Cons

• Pay isn't great. Not terrible, but definitely subpar. • Don't come here and expect regular or big raises. Many go years and years without getting one and unless you get a major title change or promotion you can't ever expect any kind of regular compensation increase. Not even cost of living increases. • Since the acquisition/merger, responsibilities per person have steadily increased but pay hasn't increased with it. Expect this and don't be surprised when it happens to you or your department. • 401k matching benefits were slashed with the reasoning being that "they were adding more PTO days", but those few extra days certainly don't come close in value to what was removed from the old 401k benefits. 401k plan is still pretty good, just worth mentioning. It's evident they're trying to cut costs now that they're owned by a VC group. • Turnover is at an all-time high. Long-tenured employees are flocking to greener pastures in droves. No joke, my department head said the hope is that "everyone here eventually goes on to a better job someday" which communicated to me that they're interested in young, cheap, inexperienced labor. • Certain departments will ask you to track your time for some or all 8 hours of your work day (in salary positions!). It makes you feels incredibly micromanaged and distrusted. These time tracking policies of course do not apply to management. • Many people complain about the lack of growth opportunities, and I'd second that. A good number of positions have one, MAYBE two ranks above them and then you'd have to make a lateral move to another team or go into management to progress further in the company • Recently went through a ham-fisted rebrand of Emma that didn't go over so well. The CM rebrand wasn't bad though. • Perception of CEO is that he has no actual power and is just a mouthpiece for the VC group that owns the company

lacking diversity

Pros

Good product. Founders are still involved. Non-management employees are great (though maybe a bit naive to issues at the top).

Cons

US based leadership team is 100% white males. Big company approach to startup problems. Leadership team does a great job talking the talk, but not walking the walk. Many business practices ripped right off from Salesforce (where all of the leadership team came from).
