Thanks for the comment – even the not-so-great feedback is important to us. Admittedly, our firm has gone through a period of transition; just this past June, Brad Lukanic became our new CEO, making him the first new CEO we’ve had in more than 20 years. To evolve our firm into what it needs to be, some changes were necessary, and unfortunately, some of those changes involved downsizing in certain areas. With that said, our firm is hiring throughout all of our offices, and expanding into new directions and geographies. Our industry is constantly evolving and so must we. Our leadership team has also been simplified; we now have 8 individuals on the team, all with very focused areas of expertise – strategy, design excellence, project delivery, etc. Together, they have the skillsets and business acumen necessary to continually move our global firm forward. Thanks again for the feedback and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Benefits, a lot of room to learn, company provides a lot of classes and supports licensing exams

Cons

Not too exciting, projects aren't that great, and clients aren't that ambitious, the company is blah

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and thanks for contributing your talents to CannonDesign! We’re bummed to hear about some of your cons, and although it’s hard responding without more detail, we do want to make it clear that every project we design — whether big and grandiose or small and humble — is important. That’s the beauty of design: sometimes it manifests in bold, groundbreaking ways and sometimes it simply improves the current state. Regardless, both are extremely important.

Pros

Well respected firm. Strong in medical planning and healthcare design. Great place for a motivated individual to grow career-wise. I moved up from a recent graduate to an officer in the firm, thanks to the support of many Principals that took an active role in mentoring. Solid benefit package, good pay structure, and great financial support for those pursuing licensure and/or various certifications.

Cons

Firmwide leadership structure changed frequently. Difficult to determine who your "boss" is. May be a difficult place to advance for the shyer bunch, as the firm tends to reward self-motivation. I did not work under the current CEO.
