Recognition and rewards are not based on professionalism, skill set and/or achievements. If you are popular, or a mate, or a yes person you will be promoted and rewarded - or even go on the annual employee overseas trip. In fact, your failures will be celebrated as positive achievements...it's all about keeping your mates happy and giving them opportunities regardless of qualifications, competencies and achievements...

Workload is manageable, and colleagues mostly try their best to help you, even if out of their workscope. Very little internal politics and there is usually no barrier to communication with superiors. Work culture is generous and happy.

Cons

Very low pay and chances of promotion is low if your superiors are unable to move up.
