Pros

Despite my bias as I am a leader at Canvas, I've had the good fortune to have exposure to lots of organizations and this is a once in a lifetime place. We are focused on helping transform financial services and helping Coloradans afford life. The way that we make that a reality is through our people and so our focus daily is on how we can create the best place for our family members to contribute. Many companies talking about being family, we really mean it and support our teams. I love the pace of the organization and appreciate how much we strive to do even more. Our CEO, Todd is an exceptional leader and has a strong vision for what we can accomplish. He makes a point to know our family members and cares for them deeply. In addition, our board of directors are supportive, smart and thoughtful. This is also a very fun place to work. We play to win, and we also know that we can do that and share a lot of joy along the way. Our benefits are exceptional and include a 2% mortgage discount which really helps to support our family members exploring home ownership in Colorado. We also have a 2% auto loan discount and our 401(k) is super competitive. We listen to our employees and act on their input. Every 18 months we do an all employee survey and we also have been honored as a Great Place to Work. As part of both those efforts, from the input we've received, we create working groups that focus on areas of opportunity and develop new ideas to make Canvas even stronger. We also have an innovation group of cross-functional family members that learn a methodology of innovation and then come up with new concepts, pitch those concepts to our senior team and with those ideas that are selected, work to carry those ideas forward. I could go on and on. We are not perfect. We know that we can always get better, and that's part of what I love is that we ground ourselves in humility and keep working daily to make things better. All of that begins with our belief that we can help improve lives through cooperative finance.

Cons

We know that we aren't perfect, and we work daily, with an ear to the ground listening to our family members to ensure we do improve.

Pros

Canvas truly cares about engaging its employees, being transparent in their communications, and fostering a family-feel at the organization. I work at the Home Office, which recently got a huge facelift and brings me great pride in my physical working space. I also truly love the people I work with and feel like they're a part of my family. There are so many things that make Canvas a great place to work, and we're consistently seeking more & modern ways to make our employees happy and excited to do right by our members and community.

Cons

We have some updates to technology to make, but that is on our roadmap so I believe we should be in good shape soon.
