Pros

As with any company, people are the key. I have worked with some really great (and smart) people at Capco. * very positive atmosphere is created by leadership and colleagues alike * lost of opportunities for career development * very little office politics

Cons

This is the former Sungard Energy busines unit which was purchased by FIS and now integrated into Capco. A recent alignment of titles to match the level in Capco resulted in some members receiving "downgrades" in title but not compensation.

Thank you for your review, and it's great to hear about your experiences. We're delighted to read your positive comments on the work environment, and our people. We fully agree that Capco hires some of the smartest people around! As part of the integration of the Energy business unit, an exercise was undertaken to align titles as you correctly state. This was with the intention to ensure consistency across all areas of the firm. Thanks for your continued contribution to Capco!

Thank you for your review and we're pleased that you enjoy working at Capco! It's great to read that you appreciate the freedom given to employees to drive their careers and pursue their interests. This is a key part of Capco's #BeYourselfAtWork culture. Regarding your point on leads, it's difficult to comment without understanding your specific concerns. However, the firm's One Capco ethos is about promoting increased collaboration across our different geographies and achieving more as a team. Thanks for your continued contribution to the Capco team!

Pros

Once you get passed the hot air (forming the blah blah blah) you will see this is a very average company trying hard to be more than that. Dont join - there is NOTHING here you cant get better elsewhere

Cons

Politics - cliques and inner circles - mainly ex Accenture well looked after. No distinct differentiators Immature & quite junior people in senior roles (even at associate partner & partner level)determining minor things like your careers and performance ratings Inconsistent abilities & experience at all levels (its not even funny) Body shopping - one step away from a recruitment company matching CVs to roles. No real strategy clear direction Left behind by other firms in important areas innovation/ digital & strategy (they are no where) Weak culture- none really to be identified Poor basic management of people High staff turnover Only average benefits Remuneration- competitive but bonus depends on ratings which are BS. Ps. If you are thinking of leaving don't put your CV online! HR monitor that and you'll get screwed on bonus or simply terminated.

We are very disappointed to read your comments. It is very unusual for a current employee to feel this way. Aside from the response below we would encourage you to reach out to our Global HR Director, Richard Gartside, to discuss your concerns . People should be able to work in a pleasant and supportive environment and we are confident that we can address many of your concerns, and provide the support you may need to build a successful career at Capco. In response to your feedback, many people join Capco because we are different (in terms of opportunity, culture and the diversity of our people). Much of the feedback on this forum is about how refreshing people find working at Capco compared to many of the larger consulting firms. We hire from many different backgrounds and industries – and while some people do join from the larger firms, we also recruit from banking, smaller consulting firms and industry more broadly. Progression to more senior levels can happen very quickly based on sustained high-performance. However, all employees have a review every six months to assess performance, development priorities and readiness for promotion. Roundtables are used to ensure each individual receives a fair assessment from a range of stakeholders and sessions are managed carefully to remove the possibility of unfair bias. The firm has undergone a lot of change since Capco became an independent company last year but the leadership remain focused on a strategy to grow quickly in the FS market, especially in new capability areas like Digital, and to share our success with our Partners and people in terms of reward and opportunity for progression. We remain focused on the financial services, and our employees are deployed on a range of innovative and challenging projects at a range of market leaders in the sector, as well as a large number of exciting new entrants who are disrupting the market. We have to dispute your comments on high turnover, our attrition rates at all levels are improving and are no higher than at any other firm in our sector. We use a variety of channels to seek feedback from our employees, including this forum, surveys and our new ‘Shape Capco’ focus groups to improve our workplace and enhance the employee experience. We regularly benchmark our compensation and benefits to ensure that they remain market-leading and this is the highest scoring of the generally positive feedback area Capco receives on this forum.
