Pros

Strong Capco culture that is low on red tape and high on creativity Some of the smartest people I have worked with in my 10+ years of working in investment banking Great office in Shoreditch providing an environment for creative thinking and innovation Clients include the biggest players in financial services Rapid growth leading to new opportunities emerging daily Constant flow of new talented employees joining providing lots of energy

Cons

Like any consultancy you have to manage and find the balance between your client work and internal work, which may be a challenge for some. Getting the work/life balance right can be a challenge initially.

Thanks for your great feedback! Your review really sums up many of the great things about Capco, and we fully agree. The new performance management framework we have put in place should also help employees to find the right balance between client/internal work, and to make more informed decisions about what internal work to pursue. Thanks for your continued contribution to the Capco team!

Pros

Some good events, some good people, the odd good project

Cons

My advice to others is - grads go to Accenture/similar where they genuinely give you training and a decent brand on your CV (and more holiday) - and experienced hires, go somewhere smaller where your experience and domain knowledge can be used. Don't join on the promise of a particular type of work, it just doesn't happen. Ignore the bravado about being digital and edgy, nearly all projects are based in client site doing mundane project work, pmo and ba skills. It's not videos and customer experience work.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with your experience at Capco. Capco employees have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects for a long list of Tier 1 financial institutions, and to make a real difference in the industry. Regardless of level or years of experience, everyone has an opportunity to shape the firm, to design their own career path, and work on engaging projects. Capco offers a wide variety of training programs to help our employees expand their skill set and grow their careers. Those joining our Associate Talent Program undergo an intensive period of training, followed by on the job learning, where they are supported by their manager, peers and a coach. Experienced professionals have the opportunity to build their profile as a SME, and to lead and/or establish new practice areas. All levels have the opportunity to progress quickly, based on sustained high performance. We would encourage you to reach out to your Coach, HR Representative or our Global HR Director, Richard Gartside to discuss your specific concerns.

Culture of fear and harassment.

Pros

A full time salary which is competitive against the market.

Cons

If you like working in a dictatorship environment, surrounded by the most incompetent HR leadership in the industry then this is the place for you. There is a culture of fear and harassment, bullying, and avoidance of dealing with significant cultural issues. Good people leave, bad people get promoted if they are friends with the right 'leaders'. New joiners get encouraged to write favorable reviews on glassdoor as a cover up, vs encouraged to be part of a much needed culture change.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed about your experience at Capco. Capco has stringent policies in place in relation to bullying, and we take these matters very seriously. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and our employees have a network of support channels available, including managers, coaches, leaders, HR and communities. As a firm, we have partnered with Glassdoor for a number of years, and we encourage all employees (current and former) to share their Capco story on the site. We read all reviews, evaluate the feedback (good and bad) and use this to make continuous improvements, and to make the firm an even better place to work. We would encourage you to reach out to our Global HR Director, Richard Gartside to discuss your feedback in more detail.
