The leadership at Capgemini is the worst I've ever encountered. They engage in dirty politics, particularly targeting hard-working employees. I strongly advise against coming to the US through Capgemini if you are on a work visa.
The HR and Managed Services teams also engage in dirty politics. The company has a habit of forcing employees on visas to either return to their home country or resign, even when there are available projects within Capgemini US with other business units (BUs). I have seen cases where if you are not in good books on one of the leaders, out of spite, change a number 1 performance rating to a 3 or 4 if they don't like you, even though your manager has given you a number 1 rating. They refuse to transfer employees to other BUs, deliberately frustrating hard-working employees with good performance. Now, many of my friends are facing the same problems I experienced. For some, resigning is not an option due to visa complications, and HR takes advantage of this by making their work life even more difficult.
Unfortunately, I was one of their victims and was forced to resign instead of being allowed to transfer to another project they forced me to go back.I am grateful to no longer work for this company, I regret wasting many years of my career there but i see the same things happening again and again even after so many years .
Capgemini has a bureaucratic nature that offers little room for growth or for employees to stay, regardless of how many years they have dedicated to the company. Leadership is often hired from outside rather than grown from within, and there is minimal effort to retain good talent.
