Fantastic and supportive company
Pros
I have worked at Capital within the Investment Group for a number of years and have found the company to be a great culture, caring and a fun and busy environment. There is always some office politics but I have found that assistants put that aside to work together to achieve the desired goal. I have also found the manager of the assistants to be fair, supportive, understanding and genuinely interested in your life. She has continuously provided a supportive ear and guided me through projects as well as having been very free flowing with praise to senior management when I have had any input. The Portfolio Managers and Analysts are incredibly friendly even when they are up against it! Everybody at Capital takes an interest in you personally and the week doesn’t start until you have checked in with your managers on their weekends and they on yours. The review process is lengthy but factually based and if you don’t agree with anything that is said then it is looked into more closely and if found to be incorrect then it is taken out. I have always been able to go through the points raised and have things changed or removed. All in all if you come in to Capital with a willing attitude to work and work within a team then this is a fantastic company.
Cons
Capital can take a while to change as they value their culture and staff. They can sometimes over communicate about the changes!
