Pros

Benefits and work environment are excellent, associates are recognized and compensated for performance and associates with poor performance are held accountable, which probably accounts for some of the disgruntled reviews. There are a variety of opportunities for personal and career development.

Cons

I can only think of one - "Feedback" has taken on a life of its own, and creates an environment where some associates fear receiving or giving feedback, because they might get "feedback" for how they gave feedback. On the positive side, you will not see unprofessional conversations, but on the con side, it can sometimes lead to underlying tension in working relationships or good ideas not being shared.

Pros

Core values of the company - they have integrity and make long-term decisions.

Cons

There is not much transparency in to how key strategic decisions are made.

Pros

The benefits are decent. It's a steady job if you don't make any waves whatsoever. Flying under the radar is rewarded with job security. "Yes" men are rewarded handsomely. Appearances matter more than your actual capabilities or work product.

Cons

Dissent is not tolerated. Promotions have no apparent rhyme nor reason. Hard work and good jobs are not recognized. Very little promotions from within. If you are thinking of a career here other than sitting in the same position for twenty years and then collecting your retirement package (if the managers haven't fizzled it all away by then), your best bet would probably be to leave the company for a couple of years and then reapply for aposition in Senior Management. That seems to be the way, especially if during that time you can cozy up to some of the CG big-wigs on the golf courses.
