Tech employees beware!

Pros

Good benefits and environment. CEO has a strong vision for the company and making it a tech company.

Cons

People leadership is generally poor. Manager is a level and doesn't imply that you manage people. Many get to this level because of technical skills and end up managing people. Cross-cals are brutal and the ones with better political skills or strong mangers succeed while good engineers struggle with strong ratings. Attrition rates are already rising for tech employees with the strongest leaving and not the poor performers that you would expect with stack ranking and force distribution. Tech employees stay away unless you enjoy selling yourself over delivery great product.

Pros

-Location and a sprawling campus - Occasional events and parties - Latest technology setup - Training's - Good 401 K

Cons

- There is a lot of diversity in the company but there are some really bad racist managers who pass comments, exploit and treat their employees horribly. It seems it is an acceptable behavior within the company as these people have been with company for 10-20 years in some cases. It leads to low morale, depression and can turn your life into hell. - Hyper aggressive work environment and bullying by these managers that is never heard of anywhere in the IT or the banking industry. - Brutal review process where managers have to fight each other and the one who beats up others in this fight gets a good review about their employee. Doesn't matter how hard you worked or what ever great thing you achieved, it all boils down to the teams you work with, how well your manager can fight them during the review process and the political equations. - Politically charged environment where teams gang up against other teams or person. - Age based discrimination. - Medical insurance is not up-to the mark and you pay lot of money out of pocket during visits. Dental insurance is worse.

Pros

Compensation, Gym, Cafeterias in buildings in some locations, PTO policy, company events for employee morale, Onboarding program for new hires, career development resources; employee discount program.

Cons

I don't really have a con it's more so feedback. There could be some adjustments to procedures in my particular dept to have things run a bit more efficiently. A lot of things are manual when they could be more automated.
