Pros
The culture at Captiveaire is very entrepreneurial. You will excel here if you are self-motivated and take initiative.
With that said, if you require hand-holding then this isn't the place for you. You are given a mission and then subsequently given the freedom to choose how to accomplish that mission. I personally thrive in this type of environment, but I can see how some people may require a bit more guidance.
Training is provided and is enough to get you started. However, the best way to learn is to jump into the game and start doing it. If you can work under a mentor, even better. Most new people coming into the company work under some sort of mentor.
Sales efforts are rewarded via bonuses and spec credits. If you work hard, you can make great money at Captiveaire.
The company runs lean, meaning less bureaucracy. I personally see this as a pro. I do not have to get approval from 500 people before doing something. I just go do it.
Plenty of room to grow at this company, but again it all comes down to how bad you want it. If you want to sit in a cubicle, work 9-5, and collect a paycheck, Captiveaire is NOT the place for you. Alternately, if you have a growth mindset and prefer to be paid based on results rather than time spent at work, Captiveaire is the place for you.
Meetings are uncommon (again, another pro in my book). Company webinars are provided every month or two to provide updates to employees. Book review webinars also take place every few months and the company will even purchase a book for you to read. Again, if you have a growth mindset then this is a major plus.
Cons
You will be required to work hard. There's no way to sugar coat it. Captiveaire has no tolerance for lazy people or people who don't want to put in the work. I actually view this is a pro because it ensures the co-workers you work with are high caliber individuals.
Re-iterating what I stated above, if you require a lot of guidance then Captiveaire may not be the place for you. Enough guidance is provided in my opinion, but for someone who does not like to lead it may not be enough.
Sometimes you are required to work late, but 95% of the time I am home for dinner with the family in the evening.
