Pros

They had a solid, well thought out training program. It lasted 6-7 weeks, however it involved traveling to Minnesota every week which became tedious. Initially, I was working from home which brought with it a lot of autonomy. I could manage my time easily and the job afforded quite a bit of flexibility.

Cons

There is zero future at this job if you value personal growth and learning new things. You will end up doing pretty much the same thing every day. Quoting out kitchen hoods, fans, occasional HVAC unit, etc. This becomes incredibly mundane. Eventually, you could possibly manage a sales region, but your job activities won't really change. After two years, I was bored out of my mind with no path out of the monotony. The sales offices are also very small. 2-3 people. If you get a long with you coworkers it can be fine, if not, it could end very poorly. The regional manager completely dictates this dynamic and there is very little oversight by corporate. I had a good experience, but others I knew were less fortunate. At the end of the day, i didn't want to spend the rest of my career selling fans. I needed growth opportunities which I very easily found in an active and competitive local job market for engineers. Pay and benefits are extremely underwhelming and not at all competitive for my region. 10 days PTO is not at all practical, realistic or compassionate in today's work environment. The company culture is work work work work work. There is zero emphasis on work life balance. Also, the owner’s politics get in the way many times. You don't need to force your wack job conservative agenda on your employees. Act like most other responsible corporations and keep that aspect separate.
