Pros

- very smart engineers/developers - work how you want (Windows/OSX/Linux/Eclipse/IntelliJ/C-x M-c M-Butterfly) - no meetings/micro-management; lots of autonomy - free lunch, game room, beer on tap

Cons

- Already a fair amount of cruft/technical debt in the codebase - Most benefits are really great, but we're still missing 401k matching - Sometimes I enjoy myself too much and forget I'm at work

Great Sales Environment

Pros

CarGurus has a very relaxed sales environment. Management works hard to make sure every person is hitting their full potential. Goals are challenging but realistic and obtainable. There are flexible hours and catered lunches every Tuesday and Thursday. Great benefits- gym membership, commuter compensation, weekly happy hours, etc.

Cons

Not too many cons... It is difficult to find parking around some of the offices. Not too much growth opportunity but since the company is growing, this will change.

Pros

Amazing culture, brand new office, standard tech benefits, and product. Sam Zales is inspiring, personable, and a real leader in a sea of cooperate shells.

Cons

Insane workload, cult-mentality, no room for growth, toxic favoritism, management is incapable of receiving constructive feedback on anything. Products/initiatives often roll out incomplete, even after rounds of feedback. Unclear goals for teams, and those goals can change at the drop of a hat. Be cautious of Vp and Director level managers on the Customer Success side of the business. There’s also very little opportunity for growth.
