Pros

Very clean facility, residents like the food, dedicated staff are hard workers and the residents, as with any place or facility, are wonderful. PTO if you’re lucky to be able to use it (they often won’t give you time off but will pay you for earned PTO) Offers insurance. Wonderful activities department.

Cons

If you are hired to work as an RN/LPN you will spend a lot of your scheduled shift hours every week working as floor aide. So this is not the job for you if you became a nurse because of age or injuries to your back from years of CNA work. Raises are sparse and the pay is $10/hour plus .10/year of experience for an aide and $16/hour plus .10/year experience. Nurses and Aides are forced to stay double shifts for call ins with no regards of needing to be home with children or lack of childcare to be able to pick up an extra shift. Overworked and underpaid. You’ll watch a lot of good staff come and go because of the environment you will work in. Mainly d/t bad management of the scheduler and what’s most convenient for them to not have to work any extra to help out the team.
