Pros

Anniversary bonus always good if they are not trying to find a way to take it from you

Cons

Always short staffed and department heads are only willing to pad their own wallets rather than those who provide direct cares

Great Company, Not So Great Management

Pros

They strive to provide services for older Iowans in rural communities. Great support staff at their corporate office. Accept residents that many others won't. Anniversary bonus. Paid time off. Some educational opportunities.

Cons

The management at the corporate office is very political and does not make decisions based on what is good for the facilities or residents. Management is not open to feedback, ideas, or questions. A not-for-profit company that pays their board of directors more than they pay the majority of their employees, including department heads. CEO has a large ego and doesn't care how his behavior impacts the staff in his own office or the facilities he leads.
