Pros

PTO if it is approved and benefits

Cons

Upper management claim they have an open door policy. Yet they ignore and even penalize employees when they reach out to them for assistance with their direct superior. HR is completely non-responsive when asked to address situations. Completely turning a blind eye to "action plans" that are without merit and outside the boundaries of the corporate policy. This leaves their employees feeling useless and abused. I have never worked in an environment so hostile. Everyday it feels like I'm trying to doge my supervisors ever changing mood swings, micromanagement behavior and demeaning comments. If you work hard and are dedicated to providing the best care possible for your patients, don't expect to leave at the end of the day feeling satified with a job well done. Because all to soon will you find yourself being thrown under the bus and lied about by a manager that has a personal vendetta towards you and you will have nowhere to turn for resolution.

Salary Inequality and No Work-life Balance

Pros

I love helping patients. I love making a difference. Sometimes we get the chance to do that for our patients. It's the best feeling...when it happens.

Cons

It's impossible to do what is right for your patients when there is SO much focus on the broken priorities that make up the bottom line. The priorities aren't effective and dependable technology, the priorities aren't the implementation of effective strategies for supporting the patient caseload, nor are the priorities asking those who run the teams what would ensure the success of their teams in order to best serve the patients. The priorities are "declaring that everything is broken" and putting someone in charge of "fixing" what's "broken" who doesn't have any experience in how to fix it or how it runs. Careless and dangerous when patient lives are on the line and money is the first priority. Salaries are unbalanced and not anywhere close to marketplace value. Associates, supervisors, and Managers are grossly underpaid for what is expected to keep up.
