Pros

Large, stable company with high ethical business practices. High ratings for C-suite management. Historically, countless opportunities across multiple business units.

Cons

Opportunities in the US for support roles are dwindling due to large outsourcing effort to other countries, and reorganization in general.

Pros

Good company to work for, great people "in the trenches"

Cons

Cargill's IT field is shaky. It feels as if Cargill doesn't want people who can actually do IT, as much as they want people who can tell contractors what to do. I've often felt that overall, Cargill is terrified of technology. They depend on it, but still don't know how to deal with it.

Pros

Great pay, benefits, training and opportunities for advancement.

Cons

"In-house" management does not treat you well. If the culture of treating all employees like an asset and not like an expenditure, the turn over in management would greatly be reduced. Example: Only 2 of 6 supervisors remain employed from my time there due to mistreatment by upper-management.
