      Problem keeping carriers because Cargomatic's rates are so cheap

      Great concept, apps easy to use, fun start up environment

      Cons

      Cargomatic aims to connect shippers with carriers. However, the carriers don't come back because they are offered very low rates; making them operate at a loss. Middlemen are stressed to answer to shippers on why their shipment cannot be delivered on time as promised. That plus the layoffs are an indication that there is not a lot of business anymore. Makes everyone nervous.

      Pros

      Amazing people... including the CEO! There are some truly talented and amazing people here, including the office manager who somehow manages to support everyone in the company in some way. Great snacks, amazing lunches, beers in the fridge. The best thing about this company is that they are trying to change one of the most antiquated industries, being a part of that is the best thing about working here. London, the office managers puppy is a constant ray of sunshine!

      Cons

      - had a lot of layoff's (makes everyone nervous) - still trying to figure things out (constant change is the game here) - health insurance used to be awesome and fully paid for, now it isn't and it isn't so great - Lack of transparency with upper management - Not very good on the pay if you aren't an engineer
