If you want to work in healthcare in southwestern Virginia, then Carilion is where you want to be. As a non-profit, they put a lot back into the community, and I feel that is a very important quality that makes me proud to work here. As far as employment goes, they have a great time-off policy, as well as other wonderful employee benefits, such as educational assistance. They also do a lot of promoting within, so once you get your foot in the door, there is a lot of opportunity to move up if you work hard enough and have the right attitude. They are also one of the few companies nowadays that still offer a pension plan, so that is a definite bonus!

Good benefits, nice place to work. It was okay as long as I had good people over me.
