Pros
This place is on the border of being a great job. Like all places, management could use some management. Hard to get fired (this could be a bad thing). There are moments of down time and you can run errands while on the clock. They help pay for school. You can educate yourself in all levels of EMS and they will provide the means.
Cons
The companies benefits are crap. No matching 401k. Pension is minuscule and takes 5 years to become vested. Health insurance has gone way up and in monopolistic requiring you to only use their providers (should be illegal). No real kudos for when you go above and beyond. Don't hurt yourself or get sick, they will probably just fire you. And don't mention the word union.
