      Large regional company, if need to transfer areas Pay scale seems at least comptetitive Get to know your fellow employees well like a family

      Cons

      Medical benifits are terrible, people who work convenience stores and fast food have better. This company should be embaressed about this. -This company at times has good ole boy mentallity, promote people because they are your "bud".

      Pros

      Large employer with lots of opportunity for advancement and lateral transfers. Tuition reimbursement. Decent Pay. Fairly short commute

      Cons

      Health insurance is a joke. Assembly line approach to patient care with speed being the focus as opposed to doing a good job. Huge sense of entitlement in long term employees. Management does not listen to employee concerns. Orientation process completely confusing and without structure. Actually heard long term care residents belittled and called derogatory names by staff. Nursing staff regularly requested support staff to preform duties beyond their scope of practice. Have to fight to get paid for hours worked. Schedule changes without employee approval or even notification. Disrespect for support staff.

      Pros

      Great co-workers. Many will give helpful hints regarding streamlining this demanding job. Will be able to meet many wonderful patients and families. Independent nursing with appreciative patients.

      Cons

      Management is sneaky. Eight hours turn into 10 to 12 per day and is only partly reimbursed - due to pressure by management to "hold costs down" and unspoken implication that the employee must be faulty.
