Employees are pleasant, EPIC is easy to use

Cons

Company uses PTO for any and all situations. Even Holidays that clinics are closed. There is no opportunity to take unpaid time off or to work on these days. Illogical and greedy.

Carilion Clinic Response

Thank you for your review. Because we are a 24 hour business, our holidays are banked into our PTO. Employees start banking PTO from day one.

Pros

Location was good. Some of the nurses were amazing. Schedule was exactly what I asked for.

Cons

Non inclusive work environment. Nurses bashing a transgender patient at the nurses station (I had just started working there and they didn't know my spouse was transgender yet). Very few nurses of color. Bullying was mind blowing. And the bullies got promoted to team lead positions.

We believe that everyone should feel welcomed and respected. Bashing and bullying are against our code of conduct. Activity should be reported so it can be addressed properly.
