-Many new managers to the company that have overinflated egos -Too much importance given to office managers. If you are not working with them directly, they should not be able to provide input into an employee's review -Perception is worth more than actually "doing" -Clear inner circles that hoard bonuses -The "Doers" are overworked and underpaid with no appreciation -The career development program (CDP) is so tedious that assigned reviewers don't want to fill them out. This keeps people who deserve to move up in the same pen, as no feedback is viewed as negative feedback. -The CDP takes hours to fill out and some reviewers admit they were "too lazy" to read through any that actually followed the directions of the program. There's no good reason why those people should even be eligible to review any employee. -The company boasts that they do not lay anyone off. However, there have been recent lay-offs in some offices and those managers are quick to try to badmouth departing folks (voluntary leave or not) -Work-life balance is deplorable. The reviews that say that it's great are likely from those who have low billable goals. Those of us that actually deliver projects are very overworked and it becomes difficult to take PTO -Office managers do not actually do their job in finding work for others. Many have to find work for themselves. -No incentive to actually win work. Unsuccessful client service managers are still kept on board because of cronyism in the inner circle
