Pros

Salary is competitive, and time off and sick time are generous. The facility is clean.

Cons

The people are robotic or self centered, management is poor, there is too much shouting and negativity allowed to go on, daily.

Pros

Supervisors and above are enrolled in Carrier's IC program. Always nice to get a little reward for hard work after the quarter closes.

Cons

Absolute zero work life balance. Both before and after Carrier separated and became it's own publicly traded company, they implemented a massive reduction in force. This was in order to make the company look more profitable to the shareholders. In my office alone, they laid off around half of the workforce. All of the survivors had to take up the slack. This resulted in every person having to do their own job and that of 3-5 other people. It is nearly impossible to keep up with every day operations. Upper management does not care about the ones below them. They like to make drastic quarterly changes to prove their relevancy, and if it doesn't work out, they jump ship to another company. I have seen around 10 managers do this in the last year.
