Pros

Carroll County government offers great health benefits as well as competitive benefits like 401K, county pension, life insurance and tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Salaries do not keep pace with surrounding counties. Also raises are cost of living only, not merit based. The current commissioners have raised salaries but that is not guaranteed under incoming boards.
