Pros

Good people, once you weed out the backstabbers that will throw you under the bus to get ahead. Mentoring Program that provides individuals with visibility to upper management outside of their department. It pays well compared to other Retail companies, just be ready to put in the hours. Benefits are ok and great discount on products if you have kids

Cons

Work Life Balance - my usual work week consisted of 50-60 hours in the office/travel and then additional hours working at home or going through emails on my phone. Basically this company runs lean, with a high turnover rate, and you are expected to do the work of 2 ppl to be successful. Benefits - medical benefits are a bit lacking and for a Children's Clothing company they should really review their parental leave benefits so that they compete with innovators trying to capture the Millennial worker. Management - favoritism and lots of bullying to get things accomplished. Too many individuals that should NOT manage are put in positions where the are in charge of people. If you are not in their good graces get ready for a rough and stagnant career.

Run - Seriously

Pros

The pay is well - its comparable to other companies in the district.

Cons

Everything else about this place sucks. They do not match your 401K all year long - once the yearly financial review comes out they decide then how much will be matched. My first year it ended up being like a %0.33 match. On my yearly review my manager told me she wanted to give me exceed expectations, but was informed by HR that only Mike Casey gets exceeds expectations... how convenient for him considering he owns the company.

Pros

401k match, employee discount, fast paced work environment

Cons

Pay is not competitive. Work life balance is not supported. Store managers and assistant managers are rarely approved for PTO in excess of 2 or 3 days. Management is only allowed one Saturday off per month, even though two Saturdays per month, per manager, would provide adequate coverage. Last minute changes were always to be expected, but lately they are excessive and poorly communicated or poorly planned. Multiple new checklists and "tools" for success that in reality are just excess paper and busy work.
