Pros

Casey's offers wage increases regularly, offers benefits like medical and 401k to part time employees and offers a better shift differential.

Cons

I have worked for other convenience store companies and really hoped that Casey's was different. I was assured at orientation that full time was encouraged to all employees. But after one plus year with a 99% attendance rate, the willingness to pull extra shifts, and ability to perform all tasks, I have yet to be given full time even after almost begging for it the past year. I have watched other employees receive it including newly hired just past probation period. I am not the only one this has happened to at my particular store. Shifts and hours get cut and yet the same tasks are expected to be performed within a shorter time period and with less help or understanding. A lack of compassion or understanding that the constantly fluctuating scheduled work hours messes with people's financial livelihood. A person can't budget their money or their time when they have no idea of what hours or even how many hours they may be working on the next schedule Lack of communication between employees and management. "Nobody told me about that" is a common phrase.
