      Good stepping stone

      Pros

      Good stepping stone to help move forward in the education/recreation field. Hands on classroom experience and skills development. Daily interactions with students and parents. You’re provided with a hub of resources and there is some opportunity for growth.

      Cons

      Can get overwhelming with the number of children and low staff. Management expectations is not always a workload that is feasible. Sometimes you’re not able to take a break. With the vast amount of centers in the state, compared to other children centers and programs, the pay is low for the amount of responsibility you have whether a Teacher, Associate, in Preschool or Lead.

      Pros

      Flexible on schedule, comes in handy when you have kids.

      Cons

      Poor management styles. Many people quit because of its unreliable leadership. You have to go above and beyond to work here. Not much diversity. They make many comments on how their employees dress. Their HR department is not very well versed with CA Labor laws. They do not promote from within and a leadership position is only available when someone quits or retires. Do not value their employees.
