Pros

Little to no Micromanagement, trust, fun atmosphere...easy to get pumped up... some of the bosses there are some of the best you'll ever have.

Cons

projects come and go,,,, its like business can be very good then unfortunate the next, but that can happen to any one. Sometimes I think management should have been more careful in executing certain decisions, but that's just me. I don't claim to know everything. I commend and laud management for trying, because I know they put their heart and soul into it.

Fast growing company

Pros

Fast growing, forward thinking company looking to do great things in the software industry. Management genuinely cares for everyone not just as coworkers, but as human beings that have a life outside of work. You're treated as an adult who is here to do a good job, and you will not be micromanaged.

Cons

Fast growing = fast paced. If you're not ready to put forth your best, prepare to not be happy here. Also, if you require a lot of direct supervision or direction (hand holding) - you will feel lost here.

Pros

Was employed longer than most and left on my terms? Hours were not overly demanding. Commute was good. Grand Rapids is nice in the summer, if you can stomach the useless ultra conservative hipster zealots.

Cons

This place was just an insignificant stepping stone to a real established development company, where I made three times my Salespad salary. Honestly it gives developers a bad unrealistic expectation of salary; sure lets have the same education expectations as every other company but let's pay you one-third the salary. Brilliant business move Matt Williams, and Pete, keep that money! Just keep that cheap labor coming in and pushing em out. Do you want to run a real company or a frat house? Maybe that would explain why I felt like I was in a start up even after the company had been established for more than ten years. Think before you accept an offer. Look around the area to see what other companies are offering, you may be surprised how many cans of monster or soda an extra twenty to thirty thousand dollars in your salary can buy.
