Pros

40% off on apparel 30% off on footwear 25% off jeans Values the company was founded on have carried the company a long way form a burger shop in Pittsburg, TX. James Cavender instilled in his children the value of hard work, Honesty and dedication.

Cons

America is loosing sight of the values I mentioned above, and Cavender's is no exception. The company has grown and James no longer oversees daily operations, that is now left up to his sons. Something is missing, there is no longer the small company charm. Those values i mentioned in the pros are meaningless The only way you can advance your career is to brown noise your way to the top. At least as far as the Houston area district is concerned. I cannot speak for other districts, it's my understanding they are run in a much different manner that Houston.

Pros

You get a discount.

Cons

You get paid by the hour. If you make a sale, you don't get absolutely nothing out of it. Plus they have you cleaning out fitting rooms, helping customers, fixing clothes, and of course ringing up people.

Pros

Meeting new customers and being remembered by the customers is nice. That's about it.

Cons

The management is AWFUL. They take two hour breaks but sales and cashiers only get 30 minutes. Even if they work a good 10 hour shift. The sales people steal each others sales. The training is more of a "sink or swim" type of deal. The management has no trust in their employees. Employees are very racist and lazy. If you're not willing to work way after your scheduled time to leave, you're not an "asset" to the company.
