My boss would regularly tell lies about me to my colleagues. He would say that I was incompetent, lazy, and difficult to work with. He would also tell them I was planning to leave the company, even though I had no such intentions. This disinformation campaign had a devastating impact on my morale and my career. I felt isolated and unsupported at work. I was constantly on edge, wondering what my boss would say about me next. I also found it difficult to advance my career, because my boss was constantly sabotaging my efforts.
