Pros

So-so ok food on board, travel the world, interesting life and a bit better salaries than on the other major cruise lines

Cons

Just like on the most other cruise lines, the management tend to be the crappy people who base their lives on the ship, they have no life in outside world (most of the time) so they use their power to make other people's life miserable. Bad people and slimy people advance faster than good, hard working people.

The Best of the best and the worst of the worst.

Pros

I worked with five of the best Cruise Directors Celebrity has to offer. Two of them I would come back to Celebrity just be able to work with them again. The Celebrity brand is important to each crew member and understands the concept.

Cons

I have worked with two of the worst Cruise directors Celebrity has to offer. One of them has been let ago while the other still is employed. I endured verbal and mental abuse from both. Neither were aware of the brand Celebrity upholds.

Pros

Seeing the world, good pay when onboard, meeting new people, networking

Cons

Time away from home and family, micro-managing supervisors and senior officers, very much like the military in some respects (though for many this might be more of a pro), 24-hour blood alcohol limit (in case there are emergencies on the ship), contract scheduling can be awful (two months off may be cut short if another employee quits, gets fired, or misses the ship--but it can also go longer, leaving you without pay for months at a time if you can't find short-term work at home)
