Pros

International experience, ability to travel and see many different countries, make friends around the world, learn different cultures. Most of the crew is from 21 to 40 years old, interesting parties in crew bar almost every day. Possiblity to save money, as you don't pay taxes, life and nutrition also free.

Cons

Hard work, many hours, lack of free time and sleep, 6 months without a day off. Closed space like in prison in the non-habitant island. Even the company has harassment policy, it doesn't work because you cannot prove anything. So even if 8 people write a complain for the manager, HR doesn't do anything. After leaving I found out that many people had resigned because of him and he was fired finally in 6 months approximately. Paisano business - people from the same country will support each other even if it's wrong or not fair. A lot of stress from the guests asking same questions every day. Lack of personal space - very small crew cabins, have to share, never can remain in silence and peace, people everywhere, live under the water level without windows and fresh air. Same food of bad quality in a crew mess, gain weight very fast. Takes very long time to get promoted of especially change department, HR can loose your documents, you can be sent to different ship and start over.

Pros

Great co-workers. Good health plan benefits.

Cons

You start out with 2 wks vacation after 1 year of work increasing to 3 wks after 5 years. Unfortunately during vacation biding you can only asked for 1 wk until everyone has bid. Some departments are so poorly staffed during 2014 & 2015 that they didn't allow most people to take their time when they wanted it & you can't carry it over to the next year. Also, during 2015 responsibilities for higher paying positions have been assigned as "back up" duties for lower paid employees. This extra work takes time away from the sales aspect of most positions causing ones commission or "incentive" to go down. Overall it was a very good job that has become an average job.

Pros

Ships are innovative with great itineraries and crew working is excellent. Many things to do and see, many different cultures to get to know.

Cons

Management and politics. They are non responsive, stuck on politics, looking to get them selves all the credit for your hard work, never praising, and have nickle and dime mentality. They treat crew in an awful manner.
