Hi - thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We're disheartened to hear that your experience at Celonis did not align with our aspirations for a positive and inclusive work environment. Creating a healthy workplace culture is a top priority for us, and we regret that your experience did not reflect this commitment. Celonis is going through a time of change, and with that comes some growing pains. Our leadership is committed to engaging employees through various initiatives, including global listening tours and engagement surveys. Through these initiatives, our Executive and People and Culture Teams have actioned several key issues and built out clear programs to address them. For example, feedback around leadership resulted in the introduction of our Leadership Principles and trainings to unite our leaders and guide them through this time of change and beyond. In response to the current market and customer needs, we have made some tough decisions to simplify and evolve our organizational structure. Our executive team doesn’t make these changes lightly and does so with the utmost care possible to make Celonis a stronger company, a company focused on creating value for customers and services focused on world-class delivery. We appreciate your contributions during your time at Celonis and wish you success in your future endeavors. If you have specific suggestions or additional insights, we welcome the opportunity to learn from your experience. If you'd be willing to chat with us, please feel free to reach out to Talent@celonis.com. Team Celonis

Pros

Global Parental policy for countries that don't have it. Higher salary (7-8%) than other companies. In some regions, you have a meal and public transport allowance on top of your salary. Stock options for the majority of the employees.

Cons

I spent more than 2 years at the company, and I'm still unable to understand the overall leadership decision-making. During my time, I observed a culture that was already brittle become worse after the mandate to only hire from certain big-tech companies. Overall, there is a widespread toxic culture that only promotes certain people, and you quickly realize that this tight group will do anything to keep protecting themselves and to push out others who have a moral compass. The hierarchies are strange and you see several people that lack experience becoming leaders. The feedback system doesn't work and you are at the mercy of your manager even if all of your partners/stakeholders give you outstanding feedback. If you ask HR for help, you will quickly realize that you are on your own. I decided to leave because I felt I was becoming a worst professional and human with Celonis.

Pros

I really did enjoy my time there and had the great opportunity of working with probably one of the best Directors I've worked with in over 10 years. I feel like I was one of the lucky few, compared to other experiences I read on here, who got to work on an incredible project and lead it relatively unsupervised (i.e. minimal micromanaging), and be actively supported by the team & the Director.

Cons

On the flip-side, and as it says in the title, I have a also had the displeasure of experiencing some chronic and questionable decision-making & mismanagement first-hand in adjacent teams that I was tasked with supporting throughout my first 2 years. Team members would often point out inaccuracies and misalignment in strategy and offer solutions, but their leadership would still press on ahead, only to revert course 2-3 months later, usually after exec leadership calls, and berate the team for not meeting KPI goals. Usually, one would think, that at least after the second time lessons are learned and team-leadership takes accountability & feedback to improve upon a situation like this, but this continued on a quarterly basis. From what current and former team-members told me, a similar narrative started to emerge: After a couple of months they get tired and drained from even suggesting new strategies or improvements because they would get invited to 1-on-1s where they would be berated for voicing concerns or offering feedback in the team slack. And regarding compensation: Nothing to write home about. When you hear "Industry Standard" think average salary. Not bad per-se, but when you are working at one of Europe's and NA's rising start-ups, you'd imagine a slightly more competitive salary.
