Pros

They pay well but benefits aren't necessarily the best.

Cons

Very unorganized for a fortune 500 company. Overwhelming amount of work; can never catch up. Management claims to have an open door policy but still won't address your needs when you share them.

It's getting better, but still.....

Pros

Centene finally got into the 21st Century by ditching their previous and unshakeable stance on prohibiting remote work - too bad it took a pandemic and labor market shift (and "great resignation") to make it happen. Great benefits, good pay, value on diversity and recently adopted flexible work arrangements. Lots of career growth opportunity for younger workers.

Cons

Centene has always had a culture of hierarchy rules, promoting based on relationships rather than performance and accomplishments, and overlooking older employees' contributions. Some of it is getting better, but ageism is still extremely prevalent, especially when it comes to promotional or career opportunities.
