Pros

I can't think of any really Pro comments at this time.

Cons

Kindred was a disaster. We were an acquisition and nothing Kindred told us at the outset came to pass. In our part of the world, it was all about who you know, not what you know. Management was terrible. It just seemed to always be about the dollar and not patient care.

Pros

PTO is generous. Pay is competitive. I love the job I do. Not necessarily the company I work for.

Cons

Insurance benefit options are subpar and most employees cannot afford deductibles required before insurance starts paying. Coinsurance is not insurance!! Bring back insurance with copay options!! Like most corporations, bottom line is the most important focus.

Pros

Working with the patients, plenty of patients, earned time off.

Cons

No support from managers or corporate. The amount of charting required. You hear very frequently, just one more page. Nurses work many, many hours. Nurses are required to work Mon - Fri, take call, back up on weekends, work holidays. No time off for being on call or working weekends. Mileage a lot less than federal reimbursement. Don't get paid for a lot of mileage and visits. Unreal amount of turnover. No continuing education. Never take no for an answer. Nurses have to take too many patients than they can possibly do realistically. Fear tactics, yelling, cussing by recent managers at staff.
