The university is very flexible with students, however the pay is pretty low.

Pros

CMU has a very flexible environment and the work that students perform is relatively easy. There is not a lot of stress involved in the OIT, which has made the last 3 years a great learning experience.

Cons

Getting promoted is pretty difficult, and they do give you a run around if you are ever on the edge of actually getting promoted. I would also have to say that the pay is super weak across the board. For some reason, the university salaries are way lower than average across the board.
