Pros

My experience with the Centre for Neuro Skills has been a very positive experience. Advocacy is something I have understood long before my time with CNS. One of the reasons I feel so comfortable with the values of CNS is that advocacy is held in such a high regard. This is seen in the patients care and also as a employee. CNS encourages their employees to increase their education and skill sets by providing courses and training to be greater for themselves, the patients and families they serve.

Cons

To work with a individual with a brain injury is to understand why there is a need. There are certainly many challenges with working with individuals and families with brain injuries. Working as team is essential. You have to be able to constantly work as a team and improve upon your contributions to meet your goal as a TEAM. Adapting to change is essential as well.

Pros

The patients are the only positive. They bring food in for employees sometimes. Those are the only positives for working at this place.

Cons

Management is thick with nepotism. Therapists have a very high turnover. Management controls the therapy and type of therapy you do with each pt. You are not a licensed professional on your own, you are only a drone. DO NOT WORK HERE. One co worker lost over 40 lbs due to stress, the other had to go on antidepressants. Terrible work/life balance.
