Pros

You can get some good co-workers but there are no pros otherwise.

Cons

Terrible management and a toxic work environment. The majority of the day is wasted in pointless meetings, leaving no actual time to do your job. Management constantly demands unpaid overtime and unrealistic output, with zero regard for your time or well-being. Office politics are rampant and deeply toxic—leadership is dominated by unqualified individuals, many of whom lack even basic competence and show blatant favoritism. Hardworking, results-driven employees are completely ignored, while those who manipulate and play politics get rewarded with promotions. Upper management continues to roll out even worse policies that enforce micromanagement and destroy any sense of autonomy. There is absolutely no career growth, no development opportunities, and no support. If you're looking for a place to grow or feel valued, this is the exact opposite.

Pros

Good scope for working on interesting projects and using your technical skills.

Cons

Directionless management. This company is just surviving based on market share monopoly in the garage door openers market. Most of the tech teams are filled with incompetent leaders (Directors and Product Managers) who are not technically strong. Private Equity owned - makes it an easy target for very regular layoffs and there is always a stressful atmosphere on individual contributors to drive business impact despite weak leadership.

Pros

You can learn a lot but I recommend going in with a quick exit strategy.

Cons

Nobody seems to survive there. Which tells you all you need to know about leadership. So the problem just remains and they beat the individual contributors down.
